We’d slept on mattresses all our lives. None felt right. So we built one. Here’s how it went. Good years and bad.
The name
The day most of us rest. Easy to say in any language.
The start
Too soft. Then too hard. We tested every mix of materials we could find.
Experts in four countries worked on it. We filled notebooks, built scale models, and a mattress small enough to hold.

2015
The first full Sunday. We started selling online, in Bengaluru.
446orders that year. 10,000 by 2017.
We could have rolled it in a box. It’s cheaper.
We didn’t. Rolling crushes a mattress. Shipping it flat costs us ₹1,000 more.
2020
40days shut
Covid closed everything. In April, we had two orders.
To survive, we made hospital beds.
Nikkei Asia wrote about our year
When we reopened, we gave 10% off. Once. To clear our stock and get back on our feet.
Never again.
Today

What we still struggle with
Delivery. A Sunday mattress is big, and it travels flat.
Tight stairs, small lifts, narrow doors: it brings its own problems.
