The right pillow depends on how you sleep
There’s no such thing as the “perfect pillow” for everyone. The best one for you depends entirely on how you sleep. Whether you’re a side sleeper, back sleeper, or stomach sleeper, your neck and spine need the right kind of support to avoid waking up with pain or stiffness.
Here’s how to find the right Sunday pillow for your sleeping posture:
1. If you sleep on your side
This posture needs the most support from a pillow. A good pillow should fill the space between your head and the mattress without tilting your neck upwards or letting it sag. Most generic pillows are either too flat or too firm—neither of which offers proper side-sleep support.
Look for a fluffy pillow that adapts to your shoulder width and keeps your spine aligned. That’s why the Sunday Delight Pillow is designed to balance plushness and structure—perfect for side sleepers.
2. If you sleep on your stomach
You might not need a traditional pillow at all. Sleeping on your tummy naturally arches the neck, so a thick or hard pillow can actually strain your spine. In this case, a very thin pillow, a folded bedsheet, or even just your arms may work better.
If you do want a pillow, go for something super soft and low-loft that lets your head rest nearly flat.
3. If you sleep on your back
Back sleepers need a pillow that cradles the head gently while giving enough support to the natural curve of the neck. Too firm, and you’ll feel stiffness in the morning. Too soft, and your head might sink in too much.
A plush pillow that compresses just enough is ideal here. You can technically sleep on your back without a pillow, but if you do use one, make sure it’s not pushing your neck forward unnaturally.
Bonus tip: The biggest mistake back sleepers make
Choosing a pillow that’s too firm. Just because you’re sleeping flat doesn’t mean you need stiffness. You need softness with subtle support—not something that holds its shape like memory foam concrete.
