Body impressions vs. sagging—what's the difference?
Over time, most foam or soft mattress materials will naturally develop light impressions where your body rests. Just like the soles of your shoes adapt to your feet, a mattress gently molds to your shape with use.
Here’s how we classify it at Sunday:
- If the depression is 1 inch or less, it’s a normal body impression—part of how the mattress personalizes to your body.
- If the depression is more than 1 inch, it’s considered sagging and may be eligible for a warranty claim.
How do I check my mattress for sagging?
Measure the depression when there’s nothing on the bed—no pillows, no people. This gives a true reading of the foam’s performance over time.
Still unsure?
If you’re unsure whether what you're seeing qualifies as sagging or not, just email us or give us a call at 08047494649. We’re happy to help guide you through it.
This is just a quick guide. For full details, we recommend reviewing the warranty support articles and your printed warranty booklet. That’s the final word on coverage terms.
